4th and Education

When it comes to the 4th Amendment and Education (e.g., studying online at home with classes, quizzes, exams, tests and of course home work assignments); how does this applies to "plain-view" and "interpret the law" when plagiarism may be an issue when the 'student honor code' is violated during online studies?  Hint: Hacking can be used as a comparison and the results of getting caught by the laws that protect the business and/or the individual's right.
